I recommend the soup dumplings. They were delicious and the ingredients mixed together to form a delicious balanced burst of flavour. The ingredients were of high quality and they were made fresh to order. The service lady wasn’t very friendly or helpful but the food was surprisingly good. The seating area in the corner was private and offered a quieter place to enjoy the dumplings.

Was super excited to try this place, ordered the dumpling soup for $16 just for the noodles to be undercooked and to be served in essentially just hot water. Zero flavor. I asked for some sweet soy to maybe help the taste and i was given chili sauce. The staff was inattentive to anyone standing at the counter more busy with their own conversations. Never again and not money well spent.

Tried Ling’s Dumpling inside Amateur Works and overall, I really enjoyed it. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, chicken kimchi dumplings, and a mango tea. Flavor-wise, the dumplings were honestly around a 9–9.5/10 for me. The fillings were really flavorful, and I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area craving dumplings again. My only critique was the texture of the dumpling wrappers. They felt slightly overcooked or maybe a little too doughy/full, to the point where they were hard to grip with chopsticks. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely noticeable. I also didn’t receive any dipping sauces with the dumplings, so I’m not sure if that’s standard or something you have to ask for. The mango tea was one of the better boba teas I’ve had lately, although I suspect part of that is because it was absolutely loaded with sugar — delicious, but definitely sweet. My friend, who’s Chinese and grew up eating homemade dumplings, was less impressed than I was. He didn’t enjoy the soup dumplings because they were charred on the bottom and seemed more pan-fried than steamed. Our visit to Lings Dumplings within the bustling Tampa Bay Food Hall on New Year's Day offered a somewhat mixed impression. The overall atmosphere was certainly a highlight (8/10), and while service was prolonged due to the holiday rush, it was understandable (7/10). However, the dumplings themselves were quite average in terms of food quality (5/10) and didn't feel like great value for money (5/10), leading us to conclude it's not a spot we'd prioritize returning to.

While the dumplings are great, they could work on staffing. I liked the concept of this place. The execution could use improvement. I waited over 25+ minutes for my food (premade cucumber salad that sat and the beef bulgogi dumplings). Two other people who ordered after me received their dumplings ahead of me so I was surprised to wait so long. It wasn't a busy line. My husband had orderd food at another place and had already received his food and halfway eaten before I received mine. Once I did receive my food, the flavors were pleasant. The serving size for the price was okay. I ended up ordering more food from someplace else in the food hall because I was so hungry from waiting
